The 2007 Girls Getaway Cruise

Ashley and I had the opportunity to represent Lifeline on Premier Christian Cruise's Girls Getaway Cruise. The cruise is a Christian women's cruise with speakers and artists. This year the cruise sailed to Cozumel, Mexico where we rented a couple of Jeeps and explored the island.

We thought we had to be back on the boat by 5:30 so we took our time; however, in the nick of time someone in our group noted that the time to be on the ship was 5:00. We barely got back on the ship at 5:05 later to find that the ship was supposed to have left at 5:00 and we were supposed to be back at 4:30. They sounded the horn twice looking for us and announced our names on the ship.

It was a blessing that we did get back onto the boat because we got to hear a wonderful speaker (Lysa TerKeurt) talk about how the Lord stretched her family's faith when they were lead to adopt 2 teenage boys from Liberia even though they already had 3 biological girls all under 10. It was absolutely awesome to hear her testimony and to see the hand of the Lord work as more than 35 children ended up being adopted from this community in Charlotte, NC.

It was such an amazing testimony of how the Lord uses ordinary people who say "yes" to his extraordinary plans. After her presentation we got to present Lifeline's ministry to the passengers. Click on the video below to see a snipit of Lysa's story as presented on Oprah Winfry's Show.

He is such a smart little boy with a very extensive vocabulary. Adelynn is our little princess. She is 8 months and will be one March 12. She is absolutely beautiful and her smile lights up the room. She loves 3 things currently - her brother, food, and laughing. Please visit as we will update as time permits.
